Harvey Kirstel

Oil Painting - Colorful, Whimsical

Harvey Kirstel has been a professor of art for 35 years at both Towson University in Baltimore and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he has educated and motivated a thousand students about art history and painting, graphic design and illustration.

"In my paintings I juxtapose elements of nature (fruits, vegetables, skies) with crafrted or manufactured objects (lures, decoys, flies) which purport to imitate or contrast with natural forms."
